Your captures

Screenshots, recordings, microphone/camera recordings, cursor positions, clicks, mouse-drag state and project edits stay on your computer. The app does not upload them. You choose where exported files are saved and how to share them. HyperShot records cursor/click and mouse-drag information for recording effects; it does not record typed keystroke content.

No account or payment data

The free release has no sign-in, subscription, payment gateway or email-code service. Previous test account endpoints have been retired. Historical test records may remain in private maintenance backups; they are not part of the open-source repository or public downloads.

Updates and website visits

Update checks and downloads contact hypershot.cc. Our hosting provider processes ordinary request information, including IP address, user agent and request time, to serve and protect the website. The Mac updater may send app and OS version information needed to select an update. HyperShot does not intentionally include advertising, behavioral analytics or tracking pixels. Local website demos do not upload your example files.

Diagnostics and permissions

Windows diagnostics are saved only when you request them; they include app, OS and graphics configuration. Review them before sharing. Mac uses the operating system’s logging system with private log content. Screen access is required for capture; audio and camera inputs are optional and controlled in app and OS settings.

Questions

For a privacy concern, use the project’s private security reporting channel when the GitHub repository is available. Do not post personal recordings or credentials in a public issue.
